Missing Persons Report

Has anyone seen her? For some unknown reason she has decided to start working on days that I do not come in.  If you see her, or figure out why she has been working opposite days of me, please tell her to come back.  There is a lot of work that needs to get done YouTube videos to catch up on, and planning for our film debut.  I promise to stop wearing those green shorts that have taken over every pictures on this blog, and will bring more baked goods if you return soon.

If you do not return soon, I will have to file a Jess LC Missing Persons Report.

How to Wear Your Crossbody Bag

Hopefully you have noticed our little promo that is currently occurring with our Clutches and Cross-Bodies. If not, its okay you can always go check it out.  If you have and need one more selling point, then we will officially introduce the THIRD way to wear your cross body.

Now introducing, the fanny-pack.

Not only is it easy to wear and slip over your body, it can rest wherever you want it to, and it is a way to repel attract  men. If those are not good selling points, I do not know what is.

Thanks to Kevin from the Cold War Kids Concert a couple weeks back for asking me if I was wearing a fanny pack.

The Unofficial Harry Potter Sweet Shoppe Kit

Good news everyone: Harry Potter night at Jess LC was a HUGE success.  When I say huge success, I mean we ate lots, laughed more then we ate, and watched Harry Potter.  We also had the honor of trying out The Unofficial Harry Potter Sweet Shoppe Kit.  It arrived in an adorable little box, including a mini recipe book, chocolate molds, broom sticks, and bags with ribbons for packaging.

The recipe book was filled with a variety of recipes, but we ended up deciding on making the 1-2-3 Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Bonbons.  This recipe was extremely easy to make, and even gave us the opportunity to give our chocolate tempering skills a go-around.

The end results were slightly larger then they were probably supposed to be, but that is okay. The bonbons were an easy treat to make, and the longest part was waiting for the chocolate to set.  They ended up tasting delicious, and were also the sugar rush I was in need of today.  Overall it was fun skimming through the book, picking out what to make, and then of course making it!  I believe I will be trying a few of the other recipes another day, including the Lemon Meringue Pie Sundae.

To get more recipes from The Unofficial Harry Potter Cook Book, go here and check it out!  Until then, Happy Wizarding!

It would be a real Harry Potter Party if we all had scarves....if only it was not August.

Please keep calm, we will have wands and glasses. Real glasses too. Now we just need this print as well.

Pictures of the party to come soon!

Do or Don't?

We are going to do a big DO for the new trend of having one nail different then the others.  We all have agreed that we are fans of this trend, and all have done some sort of variation of it.

Thanks to Cupcakes and Cashmere for inspiring us, and taking better pictures then we will ever do!

Inspiration Day

Today at Jess LC we had "Inspiration Day" where we searched out for businesses, images, and people who inspired us.

Inspiration #1: DryBar- Hello brilliance!  This is a salon where all they do is blow outs, no hair cuts, no dye jobs, just a simple blow out for a mere $35.  I will admit that at first I thought it was strange, possibly due to the lack of length in my hair, but as I skimmed the website and thought about it more, I fell madly in love with the idea.  They really knew how to grasp the 5% difference in their business, in comparison to any other salon.  So all you West Coast readers, please go there and get your hair done, then we can live vicariously through you.

Inspiration #2: The Tory Blog.  I could lie and say I am so surprised that I fell in love with Tory Burch's blog, but I was taught not to lie.  Not only does she have a lifestyle brand, but her blog represents a variety of aspects of lifestyle.  She posts about inspiration, employee appreciation week, and recipes.  I believe now I have set my standards to high on the next work party....sorry Jess.

Inspiration #3: Now how cute are those dogs?  Rifle Paper Co. has more then just stationary with cute dogs on it though.  Yes I have a mild obsession with stationary, and am coveting for half of the pieces from them. They have great product images, an inspiring blog, and it is great to just see how much the company has grown in the past 2 years.

There is my mini list of inspiration from the day, hopefully you find them inspiring as well.

Melissa :)
